After years of prayer, planning, listening, and preparation, we are excited to share the next step for Release and the families we serve: the Release Trauma-Informed Childcare Center.

Shaped by the voices of foster parents, caregivers, and children in our community, this vision goes beyond a building project. Our goal is to meet families where they are and offer real, lasting support.

What will make this facility unique?

The Release Trauma-Informed Childcare Center will bring together high-quality early childhood education and trauma-informed care in one intentional setting.

Built with foster care families in mind, the center will provide safe, structured, and supportive care for up to 80 children. It will be designed for children who may need more consistency, more patience, more emotional support, and adults who understand how trauma can affect development and behavior. The center will:

  • Provide high-quality early childhood education in a trauma-informed environment.
  • Support children’s emotional, developmental, social, and relational growth.
  • Create consistent routines that help children feel safe and secure.
  • Equip staff to respond to behavior with understanding, structure, and care.
  • Offer dependable support for foster parents, kinship caregivers, and families as they work, attend appointments, and care for their households.
  • Create a place where healing and learning can happen together.

This is more than a childcare center. It is a place designed to help children grow, strengthen families, and give some of our community’s most vulnerable children the strong early foundation they deserve. It will be a place where children are known and families feel supported.

The Goal

Bring this project across the finish line.
This vision is already close to becoming real. Thanks to our generous partners, $2,035,000 has been raised toward the total project goal of $2,297,300. That’s 89% of the funding needed.

The remaining $272,300 will finish construction, provide essential equipment and furnishings, and cover important startup needs.

At its core, this project shows Release’s mission: helping children and families become safe, together, healthy, and free.

Now we invite you to help us reach the finish line.

We are truly grateful for your support of Release’s ongoing work. We recognize for many, this gift would be an additional commitment. We are deeply grateful for your consideration.

    Vision Identified

FEB 2022. Release began hearing foster children were not served well in traditional childcare settings, so we started exploring how a specialized childcare center could meet the unique needs of children and families who often struggle to find safe, supportive care.

    Research & Planning

AUG 2022 - DEC 2024. Learning and designing with purpose: We spent two years assessing community needs, valuating options, and developing a model focused on high-quality care, early learning, and trauma-informed support.

    Project Refinement

JAN 2025 - DEC 2025. Turning vision into a plan: With a site selected and architectural plans underway, the project moved from concept to reality as community partners and early supporters joined the effort.

    Early Fundraising Stage

JAN 2025 - MAY 2026. Building the foundation: Lead donors, foundations, and key partners stepped forward to provide the early investment needed to move the project toward construction.

    Public Campaign Launch

JUN 2026. Inviting the community to be part of the story: With strong momentum already established, Release officially launched the public phase of the campaign to celebrate the beginning of construction.

    Construction Begins

JUL 2026. From plans to progress: Site preparation and construction transform the vision into a physical space designed to serve children, strengthen families, and support our community for generations.

    Facility Completion

JAN 2027. Preparing for opening day: As construction concludes, classrooms are equipped, staff are trained, and final licensing steps ensure the center is ready to welcome children.

    Opening Day

FEB 2027. A vision becomes reality: The doors open and the first children and families are welcomed into a safe, nurturing environment built to help them learn, grow, and thrive.

    A Lasting Legacy

Creating opportunities that last for generations. The center expands access to quality childcare, supports foster and trauma-affected children, strengthens working families, and helps build a healthier community for years to come.

      Project Timeline

Our journey towards this moment started back in 2022.
